THE INFLUENCE OF SOWING TECHNOLOGIES ON THE DEVELOPMENT AND YIELD OF SPRING BARLEY ‘IDA’

The field experiment was carried out on 04.26.2000. Four sowing technologies were compared:

Amazone D-9 Super + KG602 (without cultivation before sowing);

RABE&WERK + PTU-400 (without cultivation before sowing);

Juko H-4000 (before sowing cultivated at the 4-6 cm depth);
FIONA D-56 (before sowing cultivated at the 4-6 cm depth).

The development and number of spring barley plants sowing

 by FIONA D-56

by Amazone D-9 Super + Kg602

Conclusions

There were significant differences in the yield of spring barley and weed infestation depending on sowing technologies. The application of Juko H-4000 and FIONA D-56 with cultivation before sowing caused a decrease of yield by 43 and 37%, respectively, as compared by Amazone D-9 Super + KG 602 without cultivation before sowing, and a substantial increase in infestation of weeds.
